What is Dermatix? 

Dermatix is a topical silicone gel that is specifically formulated to help reduce the appearance of scars. It is a transparent, quick-drying gel that can be easily applied to most areas of the skin, including the face and joints. The active ingredient in Dermatix is polysiloxane, also known as silicone. 

Dermatix is composed of long-chain silicone polymers (polysiloxanes) and a silicon dioxide dispersion. It forms a silicone gel sheet over the applied area, which dries quickly to create a protective barrier.

Usage

What is Dermatix used for? 

Dermatix is used for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from burns, surgical procedures, trauma, wounds, or other skin injuries. Theoretically, it works by hydrating the scarred tissue and mimicking physiologic skin occlusion thereby regulating collagen production to promote a less noticeable scar. 

How do you use Dermatix? 

Availability:

Dermatix is available in the form of a topical gel.

Dosage information:

• Clean the affected area and pat dry before application. 
• Apply a thin layer of Dermatix twice daily. 
• Allow to dry for 4–5 minutes before covering with clothing or makeup. 

Suitability: 

• Children: Suitable under supervision. 
• Adults: Suitable for use. 
• Elderlies: Suitable for use. 

Is there anyone who can’t take Dermatix?
