It combines antacids and anesthetic components, typically including magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide gel, and oxethazaine (also known as oxetacaine). These ingredients work together to neutralize stomach acid and provide a numbing effect to reduce pain and discomfort.

Usage

What is Gastrocaine used for?

  • Gastric pain 
  • Upset stomach 

How do you use Gastrocaine? 

Availability:

Gastrocaine is available in liquid and tablet form, to be taken orally. 

Dosage information:

  • Adults and Elderly: Take 10-20 ml after meals at bedtime or 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day may be taken for symptomatic relief or as directed by a healthcare provider.  
  • Children: Consult a pediatrician for appropriate dosage.
