說起脫髮,許多人會聯想到像「大蕃薯」 那樣,頭頂只剩幾根頭髮。其實脫髮問題不止影響頭髮,身體任何部位都有可能脫髮,包括眉毛、陰毛和鬍鬚等。俗稱「鬼剃頭」的斑禿(alopecia areata)是脫髮的其中一種類型。人體任何部位的毛髮都可能掉落,只是較常見於頭部和面部。在正常情況下,每天都會自然掉落一定數量的頭髮。怎樣才算陷入禿頭危機?如何拯救脫髮問題?
適當的日常頭髮護理、洗頭後用毛巾吸乾水分、避免頻密燙髮和染髮,有助減低脫髮危機。然而,單靠防脫髮洗頭水未必能解決脫髮問題,市面有售標榜能「防斷髮」、「防脫髮」的洗頭水,部分說明只可預防因梳理所造成的斷髮或掉髮。消費者委員會過往曾指出,洗頭水與頭皮接觸時間有限,消費者不應對其減少脫髮效能抱過高期望。
頭髮護理方式不當未必是脫髮問題的根本原因,如果擔心頭髮稀疏或脫髮,應諮詢皮膚及性病科醫生或家庭醫生的意見。大多數的脫髮都可以治療,及早診治效果越好。如有下列情況,應盡早求醫:
