Experience

Heidi finished her training at Cardiff school of Podiatry in 1991. After working for five years in the UK NHS, she was employed by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority in 1996 at Prince of Wales hospital where she became Cluster Coordinator of Podiatry services for the New Territories East Region. In 2011, she moved into part-time private practice whilst continuing part time work with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and various public hospitals and she just recently moved into full-time private.

Heidi is committed to the development of the Podiatry profession in Hong Kong and is actively involved representing Hong Kong on various international bodies e. g. The International working group on the Diabetic Foot, The International Federation of Podiatrists, the Academy of Podiatric Medical Educators.

Heidi has published research in various areas such as Elderly care, Diabetic foot disease, peripheral vascular disease, wound management, Renal disease and in Telemedicine for Podiatry.

Heidi is highly experienced in all aspects of Podiatry care. She has a special interests in the treatment of Biomechanical foot problems using the latest technology - 3D laser scanning for the manufacture of custom moulded foot orthoses Ingrown toe nail surgery under local anaesthesia, Chemical and cryotherapy treatments for verrucas and warts Laser therapy for treatment of fungal nail infections to av Acute and chronic Diabetic foot problems.
